Music with Mr.Ray
Every Monday 10:30 - 12:00 pm

My name is Ray Funk. I offer a music program geared to toddlers and pre-schoolers in the Tucson area. I'm a classically trained musician (voice and guitar) and have 35 years of professional experience.
My approach to a typical class is to start out with the "Book of the Day" from a great collection of song-based storybooks. We discuss whatever the subject matter is and talk about the pictures and ideas in that particular book as I sing. There are many opportunities for the children to sing along. This is always a big hit because "a picture is worth a thousand words".
Sometimes the children make requests and sometimes I pick songs from a huge repertoire of material! The kids do lots of jumping and dancing. Many of these songs involve taking directions for movement.

Barbara Mackay - Story Teller
Every Tuesday 9:30 - 11:00 am

I read books, use the felt board to tell stories and we even sing silly songs. Children's Literature has always been a favorite hobby of mine and being a bit theatric, helps.
I love to spent time with your children, but the best part of my time with them is the hugs that I get at the end of story time.

Quality Time
Every Wednesday
The Quality Time movement, music and drama program comes to your child's school once a week.
In our program children learn about rhythm and sound using percussion instruments and movement, dance to their own and other peoples' music using equipment such as hoops, scarves, balls, and colored parachutes. The emphasis is on physical participation and learning through FUN. We hope to teach basic concepts and skills while enhancing their self esteem and body awareness.
Quality Time is dedicated to teaching excellence. We are trained, experienced teachers with a great love of children and our program caters to kids 2 years through 5th grade.
